So this came up a while ago in my life, i wanted a custom laptop from scratch, i used to have a desktop that was custom, but the thing is, they really don't sell many parts for laptops, and i really want one, is there a tutorial on how to get a custom laptop with all the specs and accessories you would want?

The main problem is getting a small motherboard, case and a small screen. Apart from that it is easy to build. I also want to build a laptop/netbook and I want it to be cheap!

What is your budget?

EDIT: And a power supply small enough might be tricky to get hold of

I'd start with a barebones notebook and go from there.

Via Google. (http://laptoplogic.com/resources/detail.php?id=22)

Newegg has the parts. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&SubCategory=773&N=2010030773&SpeTabStoreType=1)

Did I understand the question, or are you talking about case modding?

P.S. The motherboard is usually part of the laptop body, there's really no way to buy them separately. Other than that, you can do whatever you want.

Personally i'd love to build my own laptop. my desktop rig is a custom built. However I am 100% unfamiliar with the form factor, and i've got big clumsy hands. SO working with the space of a laptop is not ideal for me lol

And its just so much less of a hassle putting them together on websites like www.ibuypower.com

Try getting a barebones book from MSI. Or you can get one made for you by ZaReason.
