Hi folks,

I have an Asus Laptop model X83V-X1.

Had Vista preinstalled (PSHHHHHH), wiped it and installed ubuntu 8.04, I connected to the internet via ethernet cable directly into our router, and had no trouble connecting. Upgraded to 8.10, and now when I try to connect via wireless or ethernet, it gets all the way up to "aquiring network address" for like 30 seconds, then it just disconnects.

I've only been using Ubuntu for a few months now (desktop) so please assume I know nothing, like a lot of threads I saw pertaining to things like this people asked you to check out your "/etc/newtorks/intferace" or something like that, but I don't know what that means or how to get there.

Thanks in advance!!!::D
