Intrepid, after last update laptop is very slow (dell e6400)

Hi,

I've got a dell e6400 which I have been happily running ubuntu on until today. Today the update manager decided to download an update, which I let it install. After the install and reboot, the computer is very, very slow.

The startup time takes about 3 times as long, and programs run very slow, to the point where any complex application (like eclipse) is unusable.

I'm abit of a newbie when it comes to troubleshooting on ubuntu, is there away where I can see what was installed, and maybe revert it?

Anyone else have these problems after a recent update?

Me too it is some days that ubuntu startup is very slow: before it used to be 1 min and 40 sec; now it is 2 min and 30 sec.
What is you startup time?
