Hi. I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 on a MacBookPro 5.1, and I'm having a problem with my touchpad. I can't use the touchpad to drag. It works fine for everything else (click, right click, etc.), and dragging works with a mouse. I used the fdi file at: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=981474, but that didn't fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

please describe what you mean by dragging specifically. This is a very odd subject with your hardware because there is not a button like in older Macbook(pro)s. How are you expecting it to work?

I don't need it to drag-lock or anything like that. I just want to be able to push the button the same way I do in OS X when I want to move a window or a file from one part of the screen to another. The only way I can get it to work now (without a mouse) is to click and hold and move with the arrow keys on the keyboard.

Sorry. Let me clarify. I just tried it again, and I realized what I'm trying to do is click and hold with one finger and drag with another. Dragging with one finger does work in Ubuntu, but this seems unnatural to me.
