Upgrade to 9.04 on a dm-crypt encrypted partition

Hi
I'm running now Ubuntu 8.10 on my laptop with a dm-crypt encrypted partition. I created it with the alternate CD.
Will there be any problems when I do upgrade to 9.04 ? I'm afraid of losing access to my data in case of some incompatibilities with new packages/boot process.

I'm curious too of whether this will work. I'd hope so, but the risk of getting locked out of the machine (work laptop) and having to reinstall is not something I want to take.

There seems to be at least one report of the upgrade failing:
