Logitech LX710 support?

I´ve done quite a bit of searching and can´t find an answer to this one.

Can anyone help me with LX710 keyboard support in Kubuntu 8.10?

It generally works, including the specialized buttons, but it does upsetting things like the quotes don´t work. I have to hit those buttons twice or it will absorb the next key. If I type apostrophy ´m´, it will look like this: ḿ

This looks like some sort of foreign language support but I am US English.

Go to System - Preferences - Keyboard and make sure the layout is USA. You can also select different keyboard models. You should be fine with the generic model but you may also be able to select a logitech model similar to the one you have.

I was going to dump this keyboard but now I'm completely happy with it. I can write correct apostrophes and the whole shpeal.
