Hello
Today I received the pop up that said I have something like 85 updates. BTW, I'm running Ubuntu with KDE 3.5 installed. After a quick glance I noticed most of them were KDE related. So I updated.
Now I can't log in. After the Kubuntu cylon eye it dumps me to the command line. I can type startx and get into Gnome but things are not ok. I have no sound, for example.
If this should be asked at the Kubuntu forum let me know. But I did start by installing Ubuntu and only installed KDE 3.5 on top of it.
Is there any way to back out of the most recent changes because the system was fine before the updates??
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out.
Update: I'm running 8.10 with KDE 3.5 installed via the method described in this forum. Also I know it was late when I posted this but the word "by" in the title should have been "my". Sorry. If I am missing any info please let me know I will update this entry.
