View Full Version : [ubuntu] Error after upgrade (video driver?)

I have been running 8.04 (Hardy) on one daughter's PC for 6 months or so. Last week, I upgraded to 8.10, after having to go to recovery mode to reset the admin password. After upgrading, I created a User account for her, to keep that from happening again.

After the upgrade, at the first login screen, I got the floating "Input Not Supported" box. When it moved enough to expose the prompts, I logged is as admin, and it cleared, with everything working fine.

When I went to switch users to set up her account, the popup was there again. After logging in to her account, the box stays there, floating in front of everything. Only in her account, not in my admin.

I've looked at several other threads where this message is quoted, but didn't see any reference to it being related to a particular login.

Help?

Thanks!!!

Dave

Does no-one with any helpful (or even UNhelpful) ideas read these forums? Going on 2 months (March 3rd), 43 views, and not one reply?!?

Says a lot for user community-supported software, I guess... :(
