View Full Version : Am I the only one to find the forums to be broken?

For the last hour or so the forum has been completely inaccessible & then it has become partially accessible.

Attempting to access many parts of the forum bring up the Database Error page.

I do hope new server hardware arrives soon for the administrations sake.

I haven't been able to access this page for 40 minutes or so.

The UF's are now capable of showing the number of users, which is at this point in time, nearly 19,000.

Which one would think is the reason that the forums are currently crumbling.

No our slave database server crashed this morning, this server has a history and if it continues will be replaced. Canonical sysadmins rebooted, but there were some SQL corruption and it was fixed when I noticed. The forums should be normal now.

Cheers to hoping they get you setup w/ some new hardware sooner or later.

The user population here is now under 10,000.

Perhaps the 19,000, was an incorrect figure?

Alot of times the higher numbers are google bots, except during release times they are actually users.

Somehow we got new record number of users,

'Most users ever online was 35,611, 1 Hour Ago at 03:01 PM.'=D>\\:D/

I just checked it after reading this thread.
I remember it was around 24,000 before.
