I get a terrible amount of stutter on my new Qosmio x305-Q725 when playing games.

I get great framerate, fraps says i'm getting over 200, but i annot look around well because it is so jumpy.

any idea what the problem may be?

the cpu is a quad core 2ghz q9000
the gpu is a nvidia 9800m gtx

thanks.

ps. one of the games i am having this problem with is Halo 2

Your computer probably isn't good enough. You should probably buy new parts and give me the old ones.

Actually, I'm not sure. You are using Windows here I assume?

lol?

Anyways,
Yes, i'm using vista ultimate 64bit.

As a side note, I tried an older FPS, and got the same problem (Command and Conquer Renegade, the game doesn't run any better than on my old 633mhz celeron computer with no gfx card =( )

What video drivers/version are you using?

I installed the latest driver. It still has terrible stuttering (possibly a little better, but not much).

any new ideas?

could it have something to do with the 64bit part?

It shouldn't, lots of people play games on 64bit.
