View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problem installing Gtk and Glib .tar.gz

Guys what in the world should I do, wheneva I dload tarballs I just cant install en, now i got Mac4lin and I get the msg that it needs gtk+ theme engine, I have it in a tar ball, well I check in the parkages in package manager still I couldnt find it there. As for Glib many tarballs says they require it to compile but I cant even install it mmm wtf:'(:-(

Why don't you fire up synaptic and look for those packages, gtk2-engine & glib. Chances are they have already installed on your machine, especially glib since almost every program depends on it. Installing a difference version of glib on your machine will probably cause your machine to crash.

Well why wateva I do say, this needs glib 2_12, or gtk theme engine is not install theme cannot be displayed as intended
