View Full Version : [xubuntu] Efficient environment for remote desktop

I currently have an older computer that is running xubuntu 8.10, the specs are intel celeron 766mhz I think with 128 Ram... The desktop works well when on the actual computer but when I connect to it via my laptop on my network It becomes very laggy making using the mouse a pain... I was wondering if there is a nice looking environment that would possibly run better over the network and how would I get it to work?

How are you connecting to it? VNC or XDMCP? XDMCP would probably be fastest of these two.
