Dear All,

I need some help to create a backup for a ubuntu server,
Since the user is at remote place and doesn't quite known about server, i must create a live backup using USB Flash Disk, so if the HDD on the server failed/corrupt, the server still can function through USB.

I find some program like unetbootin, but it doesn't cover the application that required on server.

My question is how to create a ubuntu live boot from usb flash disk but already inclluded all application like ftp, dns, file server, etc that has been setuped.

Thanks n regards,
Eka

I was looking for something similar, but to back up a system to an external drive I could easily reboot from. I've not tried it yet, but there is Remastersys Tool. Looks like if you build a clean workstation/server and configure it with the appropriate user environment, a quick boot up will give you access.

Let me know if this works for you.
