View Full Version : [kubuntu] Can Kubuntu Intrepid work on a PowerPC Mac?

I just looked at the download page for Kubuntu Intrepid and saw that there's no PowerPC download anymore... if it's not going to work for PowerPC anymore then can anyone suggest a different Linux distro that will?

you could always go with debian.

or just stick with hardy. I think it tends to work better on powerpc hardware anyway.

You could also install an ubuntu commandline system and then isntall 'kubuntu-desktop'

You should not have any problem upgrading when you want to. I think they are just slow to get install disks ready.

You can find the latest for Kubuntu PPC here:

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/ports/releases/

Just pick your desired release. Looks like they skipped 8.10, but 8.04.x LTS and now Jaunty betas are there....
