fresh intrepid install to dual boot

I have an old upgraded installation of intrepid on my primary pata drive and a new sata drive installed. I would like to do a fresh install of intrepid on the new sata drive and dual boot with the old installation while I customize the fresh intrepid install. I would like to do this so that I can still be productive on the old installation while I experiment.
Is this possible?
What guides or instructions can you provide?

Just install and let Grub take sda. This will give you a new Grub and if not all your OS's show up; edit menu.lst
