Can anyone help me with the installation.
this is the first time I'm using a linux based system :rolleyes:

If you have found the tools on some random web site, I would suggest searching for the tools using Synaptic Package Manager, there is bound to be the tool you need in the repositories. Once you have found the tools, mark them for installation and click apply.

I have downloaded every single folder from its website. I tried the package manager but i couldn't find it :(

Hey, I can help you out with installation if you're still interested.

I've been using GMT on Ubuntu for a few months now.

I have another question :)
i think :) i installed Gmt 4.5.2 in /home/volkan/Downloads directory
when i run example scripts it can not find any of the commands
what should i do
