Hi I installed ubuntu8.10 onto my old PC (pentium2).
Everything was ok except after logging-in, the monitor went wrong with cursor arrow. I can move the cursor, but other than that there's nothing I can do except turn power off.

I don't know what is wrong: installation steps were straight forward though, when I came back with CD booting, I just found that it does not show ubuntu world either. I got this CD from UBUNTU directly.

Thanks in advance

P2! How much RAM does it have anyway? Which release did you install, intrepid--8.10?

Sorry mine was Pentium 4.
It says Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop Edition.

There should be no problem though, I saw many complains about this 8.10 especially black out screen.
