I installed windows 7 last night and it installed its own boot loader. It recognized my windows xp install but I do not know how to go into ubuntu. I would like to go back to old grub menu.

You need to reinstall GRUB to MBR again.

Try Super GRUB Disk (http://stmaarten.globat.com/%7Esupergrubdisk.org/). It is very easy to use.

Microsoft only sees its own oses.
