View Full Version : looking for some suggestions

As you can tell I really like the whole "clean" look, however I'm having alot of trouble finding a good icon set. Right now I'm using the Mac OS X ones but that's not really my style, a little to flashy. Does anyone know of a nice, simple and clean icon pack that would go well with this theme?

Sorry if this is I'm posting this in the wrong catagory, I just saw a decent amount of posts discussing theming.

Just as a suggestion... From Synaptic install the blubuntu-look (yes that's how it's spelled) and/or the ubuntustudio-theme package/s.

There are a couple blue icon themes included with those packages that are simple and clean looking.

I've always wondered how do you get a semi-tramsperant terminal?

Open the Terminal, go to the Edit menu and select Profiles.

Select "Default" and click Edit.

In the Effects tab, click the radio button and slide the bar to the left the adjust the transparency.

Or... To get really fancy: http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-create-a-transparent-terminal-in-ubuntu-desktop.html

Why's the bluefish icon on the terminal? You do need another icon set.

www.gnome-look.org Has a good selection of icons

One question off topic. I want to customize my panel. How did you do that to your panel? You can answer in my other post.
