I am planning to sit for a Linux certification exam but, I am totally confused with the plethora of certifications available in the market. Is there any certification which is recognised world over? Recently I have been hearing a lot about Linux Professional Institute(LPI) exam. It is getting a lot of attention.
One more thing is I want to sit for these exams by doing self study. Are there any websites where can I get free material to study. I know, at the end of the day it's all about the hands on experience with Linux. I started with Debian and Slackware and I liked them so much. I am pretty much comfortable with Debian at the moment.
Any advise or suggestions are happily invited :)
