I have version 2009.1 if that matters. I boot the main menu, and click enter on 'select source'. I choose 'CD ROM or OTHER SOURCE', and I get this 'Pacakage directory /src/core/pkg is missing!'
What do I do? I was really anticipating this =/

If you installed the Net Install CD pick "FTP/HTTP" or something to the effect of downloading packages.

If you installed the Core Install CD pick "CD or Other Source"

:P
Oh. I'll keep this open because I'm sure I'll have more questions later on. ;]

No wonder it was only like 148MB.

Generally if you follow the beginner's guide to the letter all will be good. I installed Arch 2009.02 this afternoon on the laptop

The original archlinux-2009.02-ftp-i686.img USB image was broken, a new image (archlinux-2009.02-2-ftp-i686.img) has been uploaded. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

With one image broken, we also had to create new torrents: We now use a single torrent per file again and added more mirrors to the webseeds. All seeders should stop seeding the old torrent and get the new ones.

Now I burned the image to a CD. I put it in, and it says Loading Stage 2...
Then like one minute later it brings me to some thing like GNU GRUB 0.97
grub>

What do I do now? Download another image and reburn?
Do you think burning this on a CD-RW that has been erased of few times is a problem?

I would burn the image again, but this time on a non-RW CD.

If you're having trouble with the grub iso, try the isolinux version.
