Hello i have been using 8.04 for ages and downloaded the Alternate 8.10 iso mounted it and started upgrade (because the target machine has no internet connection so could not do online direct)

So i performed sudo mount -o loop ~/Desktop/ubuntu-8.10-alternate-i386.iso /media/cdrom0

and then from alt+F2 gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade"

It did ask me if i wanted to download newer files during upgrade, i stated No and so it said it would not use network etc, but then half way through upgrade it says "could not download all repository indexes"??!! errr hello. We already been over this? the machine is not on the network so no wonder it can not download? lol Is this a known bug? I tried again still the same.

Anyone throw any light on this?

thanks for any help in advance
