I don't know if this has to do with the fact that I'm using netbook remix, intrepid or the aspire one;
Sometimes, when I accidentally push the buttons that adjust the backlight intensity for the LCD, the overlay that pops up to indicate the brightness stays behind far too long, maybe 30 seconds or so, like this:

This is more of an annoyance than a real problem, but it would be really nice to fix.
Does anyone have any ideas what may be going on here?
