I have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT, fully loaded, 18" rims. No pictures for some reason and it is too snowy, dirty and dark to get one now and it has snow tires on it, which makes it look mean but not as cool as the 18" rims.

And a 2000 Hyundai Accent, a 1987 Pontiac Firebird in need of serious work, and a 1980 Camaro Z28 which is in the process of a full restore.

My two cars. Trying to sell the mitsubishi.
First one is a 1995 EF Ford Falcon. I've got it gas converted so it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg a week in fuel. Only cost me $30AUD to fill up 70L yesterday =D Good for a bit over 400kms on my combined cycle.

The Mitsubishi is a 1998 Mirage. Good little car, pretty cheap to run, but I was looking for something bigger when I got some money from working so the mirage has kind of fallen to the way side.

Are you kidding?

I prefer an pegeout ( and I HATE french car ) instead of a yet-another-stupid-american-suv.

my SUV actually gets good gas miliage so contrary to what you believe about SUV's its not all that bad and since i live in california all cars have to pass a smog test and since its a 2008 year model car it passed with flying colors.

oh and besides its a small SUV

and why such the hate. i dont know if its true that 90 percent of people in the uk drive those cars it sure seems like it. i was just saying for christ sake no need to go elitist on me
and thanks for calling it big and ugly, what do you have?

and i wouldnt call it useless it gets me where i want to go and also unbelievably good in the snow i drove it from tennessee to california last year during winter and the interstates were covered with snow most of the way and never slid off the road once, the traction control in it rocks. i pittied all the other cars i seen on the side of the road.

These days gas is used more as fuel. And use of the gas is beneficial over the petrol or diesel. Because of this manufactures are producing more vehicles which use the gas as fuel. One of these vehicles is the Ford Escape. This Ford escape has been introduced in the year of 2001. This has entered the market as two row mid size SUV segment.

Ford Escape has been designed in the collaboration with Mazda and it shares many of the components with Mazda Tribute and along with this Mercury Mariner. 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid is awarded as the most fuel efficient Sport Utility Vehicle sold in the United States, this version of front wheel drive transports for about 34 cities and gives around 30 highway miles per gallon.

Other version of Ford is four wheel drive version can transports for the cities for about 29 and the fuel efficiency is about 27 highways. The Non- Hybrid version of the Ford Escape is available in the market which is having capacity of either 2.4 liters of four cylinder or of the capacity about 3.0 liters of six cylinder.

Because of all these features the Ford Escape is rewarded as the most fuel efficient sport utility vehicle on the earth. This is because Ford Escape Hybrid gives great gas mileage. This is the world's best demand closer in inspection

The Ford Escape Hybrid is prepared with an engine of around 2.2 liters of i-CTDi. This is common rail turbo diesel engine. This 2008 FWD ford escape is rated for transport for around 34 cities and efficiency is 30 highways and 32 combined by the US spec.

Where as the 2008 4WD Ford Escape Hybrid is rated for around 29 cities and the fuel efficiency of about 27 highways and combined with 28.

These specs are much more than that of the other sport utilities vehicles. Therefore if you wanted to drive the four wheel drive in the city then you have to think only for Ford Escape the difference between the front wheel drive and four wheel drive is about weight. The diesel powered FWD is the fuel efficient than that of the Escape Hybrid or Honda CR-V.

These all are the estimate which clearly shows that the Gas Mileage Ford Escape is the most efficient and gives the most fuel efficiency than any other Sports Utility Vehicle.

Don't hate on the road-bronasarus that gets 50 gallons to the mile. Besides, whats the worth in my 2000 Mazda Protege that gets 35 mi/gallon - not to mention the car seat in the back that automatically adds 10hp ;)

Your Ford Escape sounds like it shares a lot with the Landrover Freelander 2.
Contrary to popular belief they do give good fuel economy, but not as good as a normal two-wheel drive saloon (sedan) of similar engine size.

Unless you need to use it off road, there's no point having one.
Yours looks too clean, in the UK that's what we call a "Chelsea Tractor (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Chelsea%20Tractor)".

My Landrover Freelander TD4 (http://www.pembrokeshire4x4.net/images/stock/564a.jpg) is used off road regularly and is nice and muddy like it's supposed to be. (that's not mine, it's too clean)

What I want to show off about it is the deal though. It's a 2004 Hyundai accent. I bought it in 2006 for only $5800. It now has over 120,000 miles on it (I travel a lot) and is still going strong. And it gets ~30 mpg in the city. Not my pic, but is exactly the same.

I have two cars right now, but I'm looking to replace the 2nd.

Why do I have two cars, then? I have one for the city, which I had before I got married and which still serves me well, but has only two seats - a 96 Volkswagen Golf Diesel mkIII, which already has 215.000 miles / 350.000 km. I need to replace it because I now have a kid, and can't transport him in it.

I'm looking at a Fiat 500, which is perfect for the city, if you have to transport more than 2 people (and of them's small). Otherwise I'd just get a motorcycle.

And for quality transportation, meaning trips and the like, I have a BMW 520d Touring (E39 model), which I intend to keep as long as I can.

We drive at cruise speeds of 85 mph / 140 km/h here, even though the legal limit is 75 mph / 120 km/h in highways. And it's not uncommon for us to drive above 85 / 140 as well, but that's the limit the police will still overlook.

Even at those kinds of speeds, my overall fuel consumption in those cars is 32 mpg US (board computer) / 7.3 l per 100 km on the BMW and 37 mpg / 6.0 l per 100 km on the VW.

Gotta love diesel... :)

BTW, I can't fathom driving auto. I tried it once, first corner floored my left foot on where the clutch should be. Just stick for me, please. I don't even understand how auto can be driveable, at least with a certain amount of pleasure in driving.

So I use bike to get around, and so far I don't even see any need for a car.

The needle goes to 160mph, but we've calculated it's top speed to be 200. At the very least, we've buried the needle and kept accelerating. Before we put the Ram-Air hood on, we timed the 0-60 time as 4 seconds flat. :P And get this, we got it used for only $14,500. It's got over 100,000 miles on it now, and we have absolutely no problems with it except for the O2 sensors and the finish on the hood. It gets 24/28mpg (city/highway).

I have a car with the same engine.
Either you are talking km/h or you need to get your watch checked.
The 250kw Commodores (yours is 230 stock) won't do better than 5 seconds and they are the same weight.
They are at 317kw now and 4.5 is still out of reach.

Here's my 66 chevelle. Not finished yet but getting close.

And to offset the horrible gas mileage my chevelle will get is my 55 mpg motorcycle. And yes, that's Tux on the side.

No, it's a Subaru Impreza WRX (http://www.subaru.com/vehicles/impreza-wrx/index.html).

The Nissan Skyline GTR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline_GT-R) does not look the same.

Silver 2006 Saturn Ion 3 Quad Coupe.

Before that I had a white 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham Coupe.

And before that I had a white 1981 Chevrolet Monte Carlo (which got stolen).

The previous owner of the car must have done some stuff to it. All I know of that's different is the racing chipset. In any case, the engine isn't stock.

BTW, I can't fathom driving auto. I tried it once, first corner floored my left foot on where the clutch should be. Just stick for me, please. I don't even understand how auto can be driveable, at least with a certain amount of pleasure in driving.

Automatics are good for most people only because they never learned to shift. In the Atlanta, Georgia, USA traffic an automatic can be a blessing. You move a few feet every 30-60 seconds. If you know how to shift that is still not a problem.

I just replaced the clutch in a 2000 Ford Ranger Pickup with 359,000 miles and it still could have gone 5-10k miles further. The pilot bearing started making noise and was keeping the trans from not turning with clutch depressed.

My all time favorite car was a 1967 VW Beetle. This was back in 1977-79. I lowered the front end, built the engine with over-sized (88mm) pistons, Scat C-35 camshaft, Weber 2 barrel carburetor and performance headers. The car ran great.
