so im pretty new to ubuntu but enjoying it much.
after a few days of investigate sound problem, installing and reinstalling 64 bit version and i386 version i finally managed to narrow the reasons i have no sound.
when i first install ubuntu from CD i get sound but when updating software suddenly i dont have sound (although my sound blaster audigy 2 pro card is recognized)
i realized that what causing the problem is installing those 2 things:
linux image 2.6.27-11 generic
and linux restricted modules 2.6.27-11 generic.
i dont know much but i guess those are the core files to upgrade from 2.6.27-7.
is there any solution to this problem? or ill just leave those 2 upgrades alone?
