Hello!

Forgive me if this is something that has been gone over before. But I'm honestly about to throw this computer out a window and have done with it.

ANYWAY....

Due to recent tamporing on my part, my old version of ubuntu has become unusable. So I did a fresh install.

Is there anyway I can retrieve files from the old version and put them on the fresh install?

Thank You!

Did you install the new Ubuntu over your old install, or did you use a new partition? If installed over you old Ubuntu, recovering files would be really difficult, and obviously either some or most of files would have been overwritten and won't be recoverable. How about posting:

sudo fdisk -lu
That will help clarify your current setup.

It's A New Partition. Is there anything else I need to mention?

Thanks!
