get email from IMAP email address

Hi

I have an email address that I receive important email from. It is IMAP and I used to forward it to my gmail to get all my mail in one place. However recently they have stopped forwarding emails... Is there a way to pull email from that email address and forward it to Gmail? I know gmail can pull email from POP email address but I have not heard that it can do the same for IMAP...

A combinatin of fetchmail and procmail can do it.

just out of curiosity, why is Gmail able to forward POP account but not IMAP? Looks like there must be something more than just fetching emails from an account and forwarding it to another account?

Is there any web-based applications that can do the same job? So I don't have to be restricted to one local machine with these 2 pieces of programs installed?
