Hey y'all,

I have Ubuntu (x64) installed on my laptop, and I decided to recently install xubuntu-desktop (to use XFCE).

However, I noticed that the screen resolution tool that is used in Ubuntu (Gnome) does not work in XFCE (Xubuntu).

I would like to start using XFCE more than Gnome for performance reasons while I am at work, but I also use dual-monitors, and I would like to be able to hot plug-and-play a secondary monitor like I can in Gnome using the Screen Resolution tool found in System -> Preferences -> Screen Resolution

Does this tool exist? Gnome seems to be more plug-and-play with monitors, but maybe I am mistaken about XFCE.

Thanks everybody,

Jonathan

You should be able to use nvidia-settings.
