View Full Version : [gnome] CPU scaling set automatically at boot?

When I was using Kubuntu, KDE had an applet the let me set the cpu to scale automatically based on certain criteria (i.e. throttle down when changing from AC to battery). It would also remember what I had set and resume that setting on subsequent boots.

I have found the CPU frequency scaling monitor applet in Gnome, but it doesn't let me do the things described above, and when I reboot, my cpu always reverts back to full speed. How do I get the functionality I had in KDE in Gnome?

EDIT: Forgot to mention I'm using Ubuntu 8.10, 32-bit, whatever version of Gnome is on that (don't remember offhand).
