Hi all,

I want to modify my dock/window manager so that instead of a windows type dock where I see the name of the program, I want a miniature version of the window (not the program icon like OSX), so I can always see all the windows I'm working with.

Does anybody know how to achieve this? I'm running standard gnome on 8.10.

Cheers,
Chris.

You may want to look into one of the compiz plugins...I think its called shelf, its not exactly a dock, but its the closest i know of, I'll go check the name and the functionality now, as I haven't played with it for a while.

Yep that's half way there- I've got that already set up- it would be great to just condense and float those windows...
