View Full Version : Developing with libpurple

I wanted to know how to make a relatively simple program (simple to program) that can send and receive instant messages. I thought I'd try using libpurple, but there's practically no documentation available and nothing clearly explaining how to use it to do anything.

Anyone know any resources I can use to figure out how libpurple works? (Pidgin's doxygen is really vague.) Or perhaps, any other ways to do this?

I'll probably be using C++, but any suggestions would be helpful.

I am too trying to do the same thing, did you get somewhere?

And I found this, hope it helps you. Keep me updated please.

Good luck...

I actually forgot about this for a long while. And I haven't done anything with it. But thank you, either way! You've rekindled my interest in this.
