Hi there,
Serpentine is failing on my machine. I will try to convert my mp3 files to wav and create an iso manually. Or do you suggest something else?
Anyway,
I believe serpentine is a universe package, so please try to confirm it is not a general problem (that is not related to my hardware), or is there a decent alternative from main(?):
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/serpentine/+bug/332725
BTW,
there are no dbg or dbgsym available:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/i386/+search?text=serpentine
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/i386/+search?text=serpentine
It seems that serpentine (although with gnome bug tracker + in universe) is the recommended ubuntu way:
https://help.ubuntu.com/7.04/musicvideophotos/C/music-audiocds.html
It seems odd to me ubuntu should not provide audio cd burning through gui as a standard feature (not from terminal.) So please consider:
* Bring serpentine or alternative into main for jaunty release (+ev. SRU)
* Make sure dbg(sym) package is available
Thanks for considering this!
