I have two machines.
One acer aspire one with 160 GB HDD. Kernel upgrade upto 2.6.24-22-generic is working. with upgrade 2.6.24-23-generic I get kernel panic message. I will appreciate any help to get the latest kernel working.
Another I have a desktop based on P5GC-MX motherboard. I have the working kernel 2.6.24-21-generic. Though 2.6.24-22-generic and 2.6.24-23-generic kernels are installed I didn't find them in menu.lst. I manually included and did update-grub. Now I get those kernels in menu during grub boot, but both th the latest kernels hang after trying to run rc.local. /etc/rc.local has only exit 0. Nothing more. What to do?
