Is there a program that can synchronize files automatically in a LAN Network but using different Operating Systems. I use Windows XP Professional SP3 on my Desktop computer and Ubuntu 8.10 on my Laptop. I have a folder in which I work on from both the desktop and laptop. So, is it possible?:-k

i belive conduit does that.
you might have to be able to read from smb shares, and you probably will have to share the folder in windows.
you can also try with unison and r-synch which is command line, combined with a cron job.
Alternatively, you can share the folder in ubuntu and use syncback in windows to achieve the same thing.
Sorry I am not going more in depth here, these are just some pointers.

Grsync also does this.
