problem with linux dcpp

hi
i am using ubuntu 8.10 and ihv installed dcpp in it. the problem is that it doesnt index the files the files i have shared and i have to hash the files every time i logon plz help me also tell me if there is any other better direct connect applicatins in linux

I assume you question is regarding DC++.

Have you used the latest version (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=40287&package_id=70036&release_id=647354)(v 0.7091 ) under wine ?

Other alternatives to DC which you can consider are oDC++ (http://www.soft82.com/download/Windows/oDC).
oDC is an acronym for Opera's DC++ which is based on the popular Direct Connect clone DC++.
