I've noticed the distribution versions of Ubuntu each have some weird mane...

I mean, come on.

Lol yeah, I knew what the funky names were for... just saying, do better with the word combination!

By the way, I've released a name on the forums!

I will say it again:
I like Ubuntu's naming scheme, its much better then calling it Ubuntu version XXX, Ubuntu year number. It is more fluid and not boring.

Yeah, but what about better name combos? Like Gargantuan Gorilla, Gory Grizzly, or Hungry Hydra, Hell-bent Hawk?

Its a matter of opinion. Some people think the current names are cool and some don't. You are obviously one of the "donts".

I like them.. they're not boring at least :)
And how much cooler is it to say "yeah I switched to Jaunty" then to say "I switched to the Ubuntu-04-2009 release"..

I appreciate the effort and respect the current names. But cant help it. Its in my nature to be discontent with what I am provided with. Thats why I am called a human. :D

Ibex, Gibbon--I dig
Heron, Jackalope--What were they thinking??!!

I don't really care. I usually just drop the noun and call it whatever the adjective is, e.g Hardy, Edgy, Gutsy, etc.

It's easier to remember than version numbers.
