Customizing Install Type For PXE Network Installation

I am attempting to install a minimal installation (jeos or command line only) via the network using pxe. I have the pxe setup and working, and am presented with the ubuntu installer. I understand to install Jeos one is to press f4 and select minimal server installation. This option is not available when booting via the netboot installer. I have compared the netboot installers for the desktop/alternative/server versions and they all appear to be the same...so my question is:
How do you otherwise specify the "type" of installation desired when using the netboot via pxe, i.e. how can i specify a minimal server install via pxe boot installer?
