hi any idea how to install matlab simulation tools in hardy?thanks in advance.

Assuming you have a license and a DVD, try this hint (http://www.walkingrandomly.com/?p=170).
For GPL software, try Octave, available from the Universe repositories. Personally, I rather like "R".

i hav a matlab.iso file on hard disk.how ca i install it?

install Gmount-iso (it's in Add/Remove programs). then you can browse the files that are in it, and I think it's just something like
sudo ./install
after that
