Hi all. The computer in question is a Dell GXa (which is older then most of the potting dirt at Home Depot). It's running xubuntu 7.04, and won't take any updates. I assume this is because the version is so old, the repositories are no longer supported. I have an ubuntu 8.10 cd, but I'd rather not do a fresh install on this box because it would take FO-EVA
I tried adding the cd as a update source, but it failed miserably (I'm ssh'd into the machine or else I'd give you all the details).
Anyone have any ideas on how I can upgrade this machine from the cd I have, and hopefully through terminal alone?
Thank you in Advance
