Hi there,

I am having problems with xubuntu installation.

After install, the boot.lst was empty except for memorytest entry.
On the / there was no vmlinuz kernel file...
I am trying to copy a different vmlinuz from an Ubuntu install - and it works to some degree - it boots but the Xserver does not recognize the keyboard or mouse/touchpad.

Could somebody send me the vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-generic kernel file from a xubuntu distro? I am soooo close to actually making it work.
It was a nightmare, I tell you.

never mind - I found my cd and copied the files from the /casper. By the way, don't try xubuntu on the transmeta 5800 chip (ecs laptop) - it is sooooo sloooow, in fact, slower than xp.
