View Full Version : [kubuntu] sata drives are not recognised

hi I am a vista user and I had to frmat my system and that I recovered my Kubuntu but it is not showing my any drives please help me. No yaar in kubuntu only I am not able to see my drives computer is only showing the root drive no other drive thou in terminal it is showing all the drives by using
sudo fdisk -lu
but not in kubuntu .
please tell me the command to mount my drives

Do you mean you can't see your Kubutu patition from Windows? If so then you need to install a driver, as Windows only recognizes windows partitions.

Have a look at this howto (http://www.howtoforge.com/access-linux-partitions-from-windows) for three different methods of view ext3 partitions from Windows.

Another question, is grub working after your reformat?
