I installed Ubuntu 8.10.
Because the sound in Audacity didn't work, I followed some forum advices to apt-get a bunch of extra package containing cool names like oss, alsa, pulseaudio, ... and then I forgot their names.
As a result, Audacity still has no sound, but now sometimes some applications (amarok, frozen bubble, ...) hang forever when they try to play a sound. This clearly depends on which other applications are running.
How can I find and remove those bad sound packages?
Can I somehow get a list of all the packages I manually installed, so that weren't in the out-of-the-box installation?
