I got an RSOD claming it can't detect my network hardware!

Thus, cannot use ethernet! I have wired ethernet with a modem that has a router built-in, the BEC 7402TM.

This won't occur with the full ISO.

The support for the ethernet hardware, which lspci reports to be the following:

02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Attansic Technology Corp. L1 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (rev b0)

I now suspect the ISO, despite the Ubuntu web site saying it's Intrepid Ibex, is really giving me Hardy Heron or earlier.!

Same issue, pretty much. IT does seem to be 8.04 instead of 8.10, hence it doesn't have the same packages/modules.

This is worrying!

Is the minimum ISO even getting updated.

I'm peed now, a while ago, for the minimum ISO, I DIDN'T WANT "Hardy Heron" and I WANTED "Intrepid Ibex", which was the latest at that time.

Because support for the Ethernet controller, is MISSING!

Why this inconsistency?

Thus, I didn't run the installer to have network detection fail, because the regular ISO is OK!
