Using ubuntu frustrates me! I didn't realize it wasn't compatible with microsoft! I absolutely lives for the Sims. My computer however doesn't want me to. I'm new to this software.
Question: How do I get my computer to even recognize the installation disc?

Hi and welcome, yes most games are designed for windows. You may choose to dual boot with windows or use a virtual machine to play some games in Virtualization (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=308)
You may also look at wine to play some windows games here at Wine (http://www.winehq.org/)
