Hi
I did an ubuntu installation approx. 8 months ago using dual boot ubuntu / windows (2 HD partitions).
Now I would like to get rid of windows and use all the diskspace available with ubuntu. I can see the drive used by windows, can mount it but cannot format it.

Any idea? Any help is appreciated

have you tried using gparted to delete the partition?

When you work on partitions they need to be unmounted first.

You can boot to the live cd to run gparted or you can download gparted
as iso and make bootable cd.
