Is anyone using E17? it seems to be an absolutely beautiful WM, but majorly undersupported. Does it have limitations that prevent it being usable?

Damn it! why isn't there an Ubuntu distro based on it?!!!!

I installed E17 from a Debian repo (the only one I found) on my Ubuntu. So far everything works, it's really good looking but I never had the time to tweak it to fit my taste and I'm almost never using it.

OpenGEU is an ubuntu-based distro using E17. In addition, you should be able to use its repos to install E17 in a standard ubuntu install.
Hope this helps.

We do sometimes feel as if we are in a small minority - but its a great DE!

The setup in the screenshot is of e17 installed from source (using the OzOS scripts) onto both Ubuntu 8.04 and Jaunty Alpha (in a VM).

I switched from Easy Peasy to MoonOS on my Eee 900A, and I'm very happy with it. (Had to manually compile the wifi driver, but there are instructions for that in the MoonOS forum.) It's very beautiful, and I'm running the latest release, which uses E17.
