View Full Version : [xubuntu] xubuntu, fwcutter, and me

Hi there.

I've been using Ubuntu for a while, but it's always been a bit sluggish on my laptop. I recently came across some mention of Xubuntu, and apparently it's lighter than Ubuntu, which is great.

My question revolves around the fact that I have one of these pesky Broadcom wireless cards. Now, I've gotten pretty good at getting around that with Ubuntu, but I don't know (as you may have gathered from my posting in the Absolute Beginner thread) how the xfce environment will react to the fwcutter etc, etc fix that I've gotten used to.

So will it work? If not, what else do I have to do to un-wire my laptop?

Thanks in advance.
