I've been fighting to get an Envision Monitor to work adequately for months. No matter what corrective actions I took, the display was very poor quality. I was ready to ditch the Envision Monitor, since emails to their tech support did not even get acknowledged.

I updated my laptop from version 8.04 to 8.10 and it went so smoothly and solved my wireless connection issues. In light of this easy, successful upgrade I decided to do the same with my desktop last night. SUCCESS!!! The monitor problem is now solved and I get full resolution. I'm a very happy camper this morning. :D

Great job Ubuntu! Keep up the good work. I'm now a very loyal user. I still dual boot my laptop because I have one Palm Pilot application that requires frequent updates and their is no conduit for Linux. Other than when updating that application, I have run Linux almost exclusively for several years now. I think Redhat version 5.2 was my first Linux install. I have used Ubuntu for the last couple of years now.

If anyone else is having Envision Monitor problems, try updating to 8.10.
