Dual monitors and Pidgin icons

I have dual monitors set up as single displays.

The problem I have is that the secondary display doesn't have the Pidgin status icons, and instead just shows a grey square.

I have attached a screenshot.

If anyone could help me solve this I'd be grateful.

If no one knows how to fix the icons, perhaps someone would know how I cuold remove those icons from the right hand display only.

I presume they are using sepearte configuration files because all the shortcuts are different too.
