Hi. I have a computer at home that I have dual-booting between Ubuntu and Windows XP. Occasionally while I'm at work I would like to boot into the other OS. This is currently not possible because it needs keyboard input at the grub prompt to select Windows (Linux is the default). I would like to be able to VNC (or ssh, whatever) into Linux, change the default boot option, reboot, and have it boot into Windows, then I can VNC into Windows, do what I need to, change the default boot option, and reboot so it will boot into Linux again.

I have worked with a Mac with Bootcamp on it, and it does this very nicely...one can select "Boot into Windows" from the Mac OS and "Boot into OS X" from the Windows OS.

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.
